Can I live in one state and be a resident of another?

Yes, you can live in one state and be a resident of another provided you visit the second country and stay there the minimum period of days every calendar year. Sometimes you may be a resident of one state and allowed to work without any extra formalities in the neighboring states. The nuances are different from state to state, & country to country. Kindly contact the directorate of Residency in the country to clarify such doubts.
